Luxury in Portland — Welcome to the Nines Hotel

The Nines Hotel Portland LuxuryIf luxury accommodation in a historic setting is something you look for when booking hotel reservations, it’s hard to do much better in downtown Portland, Oregon than the Nines Hotel. The award-winning property is located in the former Meier & Frank building at the heart of the city’s Pioneer Square.

The Meier & Frank building was once one of the largest retail outlets in the western half of the country. Its significance to the Portland area is one of the reasons it is now on the National Register of Historic Places. The elegance of the building has been painstakingly restored to provide a hotel experience that is truly unique.

Public Spaces

The public spaces of the Nines Hotel feature a seven-story atrium with incredible lighting, a grand lobby with hardwood floors and gold foil walls, and corridors with distinct chandeliers at each rotunda. The public spaces have been specifically designed to reflect both the elegance and opulence of the former retail center.

Guestrooms and Amenities

The Nines Hotel offers guests a choice among 331 rooms, including 13 suites. Each of the rooms has been designed to incorporate a modern look with sleek furnishings and original artwork. Exterior rooms offer views of the Cascade Mountains or downtown Portland; interior rooms offer a splendid overlook of the beautiful atrium. Amenities include:

  • Complimentary robes and slippers
  • Comfortable, pillow top mattresses
  • Down pillows and comforters
  • Luxurious, 300-count linens
  • Turndown service, 24-hour room service
  • Free Wi-Fi Internet in rooms and public spaces
  • 42-inch flatscreen TV with DVD player.

As you enter your guestroom for the first time, you will be amazed at the grand scale of the design and decor. Between the satin draperies and damask walls, you will instantly realize this is indeed a special place.

Dining Options

For your dining pleasure, Nines offers two fine restaurants. At the lobby level is the Urban Farmer restaurant, a modern steakhouse that is a prominent part of the local dining scene. On the top floor is the Departure Restaurant offering an Asian menu infused with ingredients from the American Northwest. You can dine indoors or on one of two outdoor decks offering spectacular views.

Of course, the downtown location of the Nines means it is very close to all of the hottest places in Portland. There will be no shortage of dining, nightlife, and entertainment options regardless of your tastes.

Night rates start just over $200.
