Clift Hotel in San Francisco Has Old World Elegance With a Contemporary Flair

The Clift Hotel in San Francisco is centrally located just a few steps from Union Square shopping and the legendary Nob Hill. This luxury hotel is a perfect place for sightseeing, shopping and socializing. One of the first things you’ll notice upon your entrance is the beautiful furniture collection, which is designed by Philippe Starck and other great designers such as Ray and Charles Eames, Salvador Dali and William Sawaya. The hotel is well known for some of its oversized furniture in its lobby areas.

The guest rooms size range from 260 square feet for standard to a 925 square feet deluxe suite. In room Spa services and 24-hour room services are available to all guests. There is an exclusive apartment available for private events, which has wood paneled walls and fireplace. The room is chic and elegant, yet comfortable.

The stylish meeting rooms are an ideal place for conferences and other business meetings and events. Rooms are decorated with white velvet curtains, Venetian mirrors and banquet furniture. The Spanish Suite, private home of the original owner in 1913, serves as a private function room today. It is classically furnished, has landscaped terraces and mesmerizing views of the city.

The Velvet Room is multi-purpose venue of eating, drinking and entertaining, which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Redwood Room is a historic room that has been restored into a modern San Francisco bar. The bar gets its name from the original redwood paneling and bar, which rumor has, was carved from a single redwood tree.

Rates start from just over $300 per night.
