Orlando, Florida has Disney World and Universal Studios; Hong Kong has Ocean Park; and Rust, Germany is home to Europa Park. However, beginning in 2016, the seaside town of Salou, Spain will be home to the brand-new Ferrari Land theme park and entertainment complex.
The $139 million complex will include a luxury hotel, shops, restaurants, and other entertainment opportunities. However, the real draw will be an area dedicated to high-tech simulators that will enable Ferrari fans to “test drive” various Ferrari models under race conditions.
Ferrari Land will be designed to cater to guests of all ages and interests. Park officials expect to have the world’s tallest vertical roller coaster along with another coaster featuring famous Ferrari cars. There will also be other amusement rides similar to what you would find in any other part. We suspect there will be plenty of Ferrari branded merchandise as well.
The theme park will be the second in the Ferrari Land portfolio. The first Park opened in Abu Dhabi in 2010. It is the largest indoor theme park in the world. Ferrari says they are considering additional locations throughout Europe once the park in Spain is complete.
