At the center of Octavius Tower is a brand-new interactive app for guests accessible through any mobile browser. With the use of a smart phone, tablet, or any other mobile device with connectivity guests will be able to access most of the services available at the hotel. They’ll be able to contact the concierge to make dinner reservation, request assistance from housekeeping, order room service, and communicate with the transportation, valet, butler, and bell services. In addition they will be eligible to receive special offers not available to guests of the other towers.

In a room, guests of the Octavius Tower will also be treated with a multi-format media hub centred on a 42-inch HD flat screen television. The technology of the media hub is such that it automatically detects when a device is connected to it and implements the necessary software needed to use that device. Once the device is disconnected the center automatically reverts back to television mode without the need for any programming or switching by the guest. Media hubs are compatible with all Apple devices as well as most other smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Guests can surf the Internet, check email, watch videos, and even conduct presentations while connected.

Outside the technology guests are sure to appreciate some of the other amenities provided by Octavius Tower. They have their own private entrance and lobby area as well as direct access to the pool and hotel gardens. And of course, just like all guests of Caesars Palace, those staying in Octavius Tower will be treated to the finest luxury accommodations that the world’s most discriminating travelers demand.

Octavius Luxury Villas

The Octavius luxury Villas located within the Octavius Tower average 8,800 square-feet and have design inspiration from France, Greece or Spain. Each villa is named after a Roman emperor who lived within the region. The names of the villas are the following: Claudius, Constantine and Marcus Aurelius.

The villas include beautiful finishes such as imported marble floors; a private elevator; hand-painted wall murals and ceiling designs; wood and stone archways and casings; a billiard room; a plush home entertainment theatre; whirlpool bathtubs in the master and guest baths; steam mist showers in all bathrooms; fully integrated audio visual systems with televisions in most rooms and custom contemporary artwork.

With 25,500 square-foot of space, Haze features monstrous overhanging props, suede walls, and two levels of space connected by a grand central staircase.

On the lower level you will be treated to a state-of-the-art wall of lights measuring 70′. The amazing sound system from Avalon Sound uses the latest in electronic technology allowing the world’s best DJs to interact with guests in a unique and personal way. Mix is a contemporary bridge of American and French cuisine served in an exquisite environment of fantasy and elegance. From the extraordinary chandelier featuring more than 14,000 hand blown glass bubbles, to the 500 additional bubbles over the mezzanine, you’ll what it’s like to be a fine French champagne.

Following in that theme, the restaurant features more than 2,000 types of wine coming from approximately 1,100 different vineyards. So important is the wine selection at Mix that the wine shelves were designed to hold 5,000 bottles. The restaurant features 52 dining room tables, 16 patio tables, and a special chefs table which accommodates groups of up to 14 guests. Between the restaurant and lounge, total guest capacity is nearly 600.

The Tasting Menu

Of all the special features you’ll love about Mix, nothing is more inviting than the special Tasting Menu designed specifically for the restaurant by Mr. Ducasse. This menu features some of his finest creations including Seared Duck Foie Gras with roasted green papaya, Tender Potato Gnocchi with spring pea puree, asparagus, and veal jus, and a delectable Filet Mignon Rossini with foie gras and black truffle. The Tasting Menu also comes with additional wine pairings and some truly sumptuous pre-desserts.

If you’ve never eaten at a three-star Ducasse restaurant Mix is a great choice to begin the adventure. Never before has there been a menu so worthy of worldwide attention than the Tasting Menu developed for our restaurant. The Design

Mix designer Patrick Jouin created this restaurant with a single concept in mind: mixing the old and new of both American and French cultures in a single setting, to create an experience as sensually pleasing as the world’s best champagne.

The interior design, which beautifully captures the idea of the champagne glass complete with bubbles, is perfectly complemented with an exterior deck offering the absolute best view of the Strip. The ambience is open and inviting, the staff friendly and pleasing, and the overall environment one that encourages a respite from the world outside over fine wine and good food.

The History

The history of Mix is intrinsically tied to the history of Mr. Ducasse himself. In 1984, a young Alain Ducasse was working at Byblos in St-Tropez, when he was sent on a trip by the restaurant’s owner to work a private party at another location. His plane crashed en route, killing everyone on board except Ducasse. That harrowing experience caused him to decide life is worth living at 200%.

After a year of rehabilitation Ducasse went back to work on the French Riviera. It wasn’t long before Prince Rainier of Monaco chose him to be head chef at the Hotel Royal’s renowned Louis XV restaurant. After just three years the restaurant was awarded 3 stars by the Michelin guide, making it the only European hotel whose restaurant earned 3 stars. From there Mr. Ducasse went on earn a second 3-star rating at the 59 Poincare in Paris. With the addition of Mix, Mr. Ducasse now has a third 3-star restaurant to add to his impressive resume.

The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas is set to open at the end of this year in December. Included are sneak peek photos of the guest rooms, which are now available to reserve on The Cosmopolitan’s website.

The 2,995-room resort will feature oversized residential style living space with expansive one-of-a-kind private terraces and spectacular designs by acclaimed interior architects David Rockwell, Jeffrey Beers, Adam D.Tihany and the Friedmutter Group.

The two 50-story towers will be comprised of oversized hotel rooms ranging in size from 730 square feet to over 5,400 square feet. Also available are ten three-story bungalow-style suites adjacent to the west pool deck. According to resort many of the rooms feature expansive terraces overlooking the heart of the Strip.

The 8.7-acre project was taken over and purchased by Deutsche Bank in August 2008, and will now operate under the direction of John Unwin, CEO, that most recently was general manager of Caesars Palace.

The resort offers guest’s three distinct pools, 110,000 square foot casino, nightclub and ultra lounge, 43,000 square feet of spa, health club and salon offerings, 60,000 square feet of shopping, and several restaurants.

The restaurants that have been announced for opening including: Jaleo and China Poblano, a new Chinese-Mexican fusion concept, both by Chef José Andrés, Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill by restaurateurs Bruce and Eric Bromberg; Comme Ça by acclaimed Los Angeles chef David Myers; New York City’s Estiatorio Milos by restaurateur Costas Spiliadis; Scarpetta and D.O.C.G., a new casual wine bar, both by award-winning chef Scott Conant; and popular steakhouse STK from The One Group.

The resort is well positioned directly between CityCenter and the Bellagio on the Las Vegas strip.
