The magical Disneyland Hotel is getting a makeover. The hotel is located nearby the Downtown Disney District, and features over 969 rooms in three towers, a business center and conference facilities, and imaginative environment with Disney quality service.

The magical Disney hotel will become even more fun, attractive and adventurous. The hotel’s three guest room towers will be re-themed and renamed. The Dreams Tower will become Adventure Tower, the Wonder Tower will be named Frontier Tower and the Magic Tower will become, Fantasy Tower.

The biggest changes from this makeover are happening to the popular pool area.

There will be large “Disneyland” signage that hangs atop the two new water slides. One of the slides will be 26 feet high

and 187 feet long. The slides entrances sit a replica Monorail Car that guests can glide before they make their way into the pool. There is also a third, two-lane mini slide for younger children.

A new restaurant and bar are also part of the plan. The new bar will be a play from the Jungle Cruise attraction, and the new restaurant will feature Tahitian architecture that is similar of the ’50s and ’60s era of the hotel and the original Tahitian Terrace restaurant in Disneyland park.

The Never Land Pool will also have a complete makeover with a new four-foot pool. A new footbridge will go across this new pool connecting the courtyard area to give better access within the

property. All changes are currently under renovation and some will be completed in 2010. The entire Hotel renovation is scheduled to be complete by the summer 2012.
